Refshaleøen lies east of Christianshavn, and was formerly an industrial area with shipyards, but has now been transformed into a creative and cultural area. On Refshaleøen is a mixed residential and business area with cultural institutions, public parks and squares. The island has a rich restaurant life with a number of trendy and popular eateries and bars, including the island's Street Food along the water but also fine dining at Alchemist.
Lynetten Havn is located a short distance from the rental property, where many yachtsmen visit the island every year. The island is now facing major urban development in the coming years, where the district will be transformed into a new sustainable and vibrant area that will attract local and international visitors.
