REF’N RUNDT is a brand new fall-race in Copenhagen – organized by Right to Movement, hosted by Mikkeller Baghaven.

Originally a fortress, then famed as an industrial island – flagshipped by the massive B&W shipyard – Refshaleøen still is an industrial-looking site and one of the few remaining ungentrified spaces in Copenhagen.

In this concrete wasteland – and the home of designers, architects, fishermen, beer-brewers and rocket-builders – we’ve created a rugged course that will take you through a backdrop of wide open spaces, stony tracks and massive indoor venues with art and musical surprises. And once it’s all over, you’ve clocked around 7K’s and earned a beer!

Here are the details:

START/FINISH // Mikkeller Baghaven

WHEN // 18 November 2017 at 11AM.

DISTANCE// We have 15+ races and 5+ years as organizers under our belt, yet we lack the attention span to meassure the perfect 5K’s. So instead we present to you ‘the rugged 7K’. Set your pace and expectations accordingly.

COURSE // In and around and up and down. This is a rugged course on varying surface, in and out of buildings – featuring two flights of stairs.

ART & MUSIC // your efforts are rewarded along the way with art-spaces and musical venues. So leave your headphones at home!

TIMING // Sure. In this area, we are pro’s! Pick up your bib + chip no later than 10:30AM.

LUGGAGE // indoor at Baghaven.

SIGN UP // DKK 150 until Tuesday November 14 at 6PM. After that, we will charge a DKK25 late-fee for the indecisive

LIQUIDS & SOLIDS // The beers are on point – and the first one is free! And yes, we will have water for you to chug down before you hit the taps. Also, no Right to Movement race without a bonfire – and no bonfire without something cooking. Might be sausages – might be something else.

AFTER PARTY // hang out and enjoy the beers, the scenic venue overlooking Copenhagen, and your new friends at Mikkeller and Right to Movement!

PROCEEDS // Right to Movement is a non-profit NGO that works to create awareness of the basic human right of ‘freedom of movement’. We build races and running culture around the world. All Ref’n Rundt-proceeds go directly towards production of our next major race, ZANZI HALF 2018. A half marathon in the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar for women’s rights and gender equality. Go to ZANZIHALF.COM to sign up or learn more.

RACE TSHIRT // Thanks to Marathon Sport, we can offer 50 runners a cool, official race tshirt! You get the tshirt by donating any amount you wish. Proceeds for tshirt-donations go to ZANZI HALF as well.
